Each year, the European Research Council awards individual research grants to scientists from around the world in several categories. They are awarded based on demanding criteria for scientific excellence and the originality of projects, with a scientific, technological and societal impact. Inria supports scientists, so follow the lead of these winners: Dare, explore, ERC.

As the head of the

Camin project team,

develops

electrostimulation

solutions to enable

people who have

paralysis in one or

more limbs to regain

some movement.

 

Maria N.P.,

is a senior researcher at

the Inria Paris centre.

Her primary research

subject is symmetric

cryptography. She

received an ERC Starting

for the QUASYModo

project  in September 2017

and won  the Inria-French

Academy  of Sciences

Award in 2019.

 

Serena I.,

She holds a PhD from the Italian

Institute of Technology and

joined the LARSEN team in 2015

after two postdocs in Germany

and France. Her focus is on machine

learning and optimal control,

the aim being to apply these

methods to collaborative robotics.

 

Nayat S.P.,

is the director of  Inria Chile, an international laboratory created in 2012 to foster Franco-Chilean scientific and industrial exchange.

 

Stéphanie C.

was awarded the L’Oréal - UNESCO

Prize for Women in Science. She

completed her thesis within the

Spirals project  eam at the Inria

Lille - Nord Europe research centre.

She works on cloud computing.

 

A career at an institute like ours provides opportunities to pursue a variety

of career paths, develop new career prospects, take risks and take on exciting challenges.

After working as a front desk agent at several Inria sites, Julien G. became a research team assistant.

 

After serving as partnership

and innovation project managers,

Margot C. and Jean-François B.

became entrepreneurs when they

founded Diagrams Technologies

with Quentin Grimonprez,

a former member of

the MODAL project team.

 

After working in the legal department, Nathalie L.

expanded her skill set to

join the communications department as a Web/UX project manager. She now works in the digital transformation

department.

 

Géraldine G.

a front desk agent at

the Lille- Nord Europe

research centre, is now a logistics manager for the facilities management and technical services.

 

Armelle D. first served as mission coordinator, then

as manager of the Missions Office, and after that, as

the manager of the Administrative and

Financial Department.

She is now

Secretary General

or the Nancy-Grand Est

centre.

 

A wide range of large-scale projects have been developed at Inria, bringing

together expertise from a variety of fields. The success of these projects shows

that combining skills through ambitious initiatives can help us advance our

practices, reinvent ourselves and innovate. Let’s be bold together!

Inria continues its historic efforts for

digital training and awareness and is

getting the scientific community

involved, with two major programs

like Class'Code and

"1 scientist - 1 class: Chiche!”

 

Out of the 4,500 people who make up the Institute, over a hundred have been with us for over 25 years. Their loyalty, commitment and career development attest to the Institute’s vitality.
